今の日本の文化現象は、知っている人はどこまでも詳しくなれて、知らない人はいつまでも知らないままでいられる、そういう相互不干渉のまま、それなりの規模を獲得してきたものばかりである。いつ火がついたのかもわからずに、気がつくと出自のわからない“流行”や“人気”に囲まれている。そんな体験を2000年代の日本で一度もしなかった人は少ないのではないかと思う。
